Business Innovation Center Asia-Pacific | Just another WordPress site

In January 2014, Konica Minolta launched its Asia-Pacific Business Innovation Centre (BIC) in Singapore, the company’s first in the world. The BIC manages the entire lifecycle of service development and incubation activities, from ideation, proof-of-concepts and pilot programs to business development and actual business deployment activities.

The Asia-Pacific BIC works with customers and partners to develop new services for the region. The centre is working with customers as well as collaboration partners ranging from solution providers, start-ups, research institutions, as well as crowdsourcing channels to develop and incubate new services for the Asia Pacific region.

Ideation

We love white boards – we use this space to let our imagination run freely, allowing an infinite flow of ideas. We corroborate these ideas with customer insights creating compelling business value proposition for our customers. We get the brightest and most nimble minds to deliberate on the problem and design the most compelling solution.

Collaboration

At the Konica Minolta BIC, we embrace the “Open Source Innovation” model – collaborating with various stakeholders: research institutes, startups, customers, independent software vendors, crowd sourcing channels as well as our own R&D. Our partners and stakeholders are involved in all stages of the innovation life-cycle – from ideation, product development to commercialisation, to find the best ways to bring our ideas to life.

Disruptive Technologies

We get excited over the promise of what new technologies can bring to the world. We are experimenting with emerging technology in areas such as Human Computer Interaction, Cloud, Internet of Things, Big Data and Analytics, to bring innovative products and solutions to the market to serve customer needs.

Our Network

We leverage the global Konica Minolta network and partners to bring our ideas to market. With presence in 141 countries around the world, we bring our solutions to change our customers’ lives in all four corners of the globe.
